Someone heard a faint cry near a garbage container.

His body was full of wounds.

He didn’t even try to run.
He just looked up…

The man wrapped him in his jacket and rushed him to the vet.
The doctor looked at him and said something no one wanted to hear…

The injuries were too severe.

Broken leg.
Severe infection.
They placed him on the table, weak… barely breathing.

his tail moved.

The clinic staff stayed with him longer than usual.

Talked to him like he understood every word.

he stood up.

that someone threw away like nothing…
was now the one who greeted everyone at the clinic door.
Tail wagging.
Eyes full of love.
Waiting.
Not for the person who abandoned him…
